Walther Ppk Serial Number Location

  1. Hi.I'm looking to find out a manufacture date for this Walther PPK. I filled out a tranfer request to the Canadian firearms registry and they denied the requeston the basis that the firearm is not pre 1947.(Since I do not have a prohibited permit, by Canadian law i can only inherit firearms that.
  2. On Walther pistols, the serial number will generally be located on the left-hand side of the slider. Mar 07, 2003 Serial number on the frame is 242892A. The serial number on the slide is the same without the A suffix. Is the letter at the end of the serial number significant This seems to be a really well made pistol and I am looking forward to.
  3. Walther's Patent Cal 7,65 m/m. Finish: rough Military Finish, blued: Grips: one piece chequered Bakelit with Walther-banner, black: Serial number: 6-digits number with suffix 'K' right on frame. 6-digits number with suffix 'K' right on slide. 6-digits number on floorplate of magazine with additional 2 (spare magazine).
  4. The serial number is 383199P, and is also stamped 'ac' under the serial on the slide, but not by the handle. There is nothing on the left or right side giving any information as to make, model, caliber, locations, anything. I've also taken it down and see no factory marking anywhere in the slide.

Walther Ppk 7.65 Serial Numbers

I was given a Walther PPK recently and I'm trying to determine the value. In reviewing other websites the value is all over the board, but I know this one is unique because of the K in the serial number, can anyone help with a ballpark value?

The Walther PPK (Polizei Pistole Kriminal) was produced since 1930. It was developed for a hidden carriage. The engineers from Walther reduced the length, width and weight. The main difference to the PP is the frame with no back strap. this function was integrated in a single molded Grip. Also the grip was shortened, so the clip has only a capacity of 7 rounds. The shortness was balanced with a magazine-shoe on the bottom.

The PPK and the PP were also produced very successfully after war. Even James Bond had an Walther PPK.
